Embracing the Scottish Highlands theme

Embracing the Scottish Highlands theme

I've decided to fully embrace the theme of Scottish Highlands. Kind of a no-brainer when I think of it. My family heritage is Scottish,  Irish Norwegian and Swedish. I've played the Highland bagpipes for over 45 years and served in a Highland Regiment here in Canada.

So what does this mean for my leathercraft? All of my products will feature real Scottish tartan wool linings. You can definitely order items without tartan but the small-batch items I produce for immediate sale will come with tartan ling and matching thread colour.

I am also beginning to produce Scottish day sporrans. The sporran is the traditional satchel that hangs from a person's waist when wearing a kilt. As someone who has worn Highland dress since I was ten years old, I know what works and  what doesn't in a sporran. More information to come on that soon as I am currently working on the first prototype.
